The Lilac City Lacrosse Club (LCLC or Li-Ci Lax) is a "grass roots" not for profit 501c3 organization, established by a Spokane Valley lacrosse parent to offer more opportunities for players in the vicinity that want to play more lacrosse.
Li-Ci Lax is a US Lacrosse club with certified coaches, looking to elevate the level of lacrosse played in and around Spokane (Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho). Principles of positive coaching are utilized to support character development, enforce leadership skills and improve personal resilience.
Our goal is to provide our players with opportunities to play, learn and develop in an environment focused on improving their skills, Lax IQ, sportsmanship and mental toughness while working and competing with like minded players.
LCLC is committed to creating a culture where the coaches, players and parents work together to achieve our mission. Our players have a privilege of participation that includes being accountable for their actions, competing with class and honoring the Game.
While we are not directly affiliated with any other local leagues we strive to operate in a complementary fashion (with supplementary activities) intending to limit conflicts with league play.
Our typical year involves a winter preseason session (Jan/Feb) a summer tournament session (Jun/Jul) and a fall session (mid Sept thru mid Nov). Practices are typically two to three times per week, during the summer with travel to two, sometimes three regional tournaments. Our fall sessions are more condensed with typically one practice per week and travel to two regional tournaments.
